Got an email today from someone I have never met. Shows what can happen if we live in the community we serve.
I have always been a huge proponent of living in the city you go to church in. Just a huge factor when it comes to doing life with people and your life having a chance to make an impact.
Maybe it’s meeting someone at Starbucks, the grocery store, or even the person who cuts your hair. People are watching and taking notice of your life.
Here is an email I received today:
Good afternoon and Happy Monday!
I just wanted to say thank you for being an awesome light and man of God. You’ve never met me, but my little sister cut your hair this weekend. She is not really living as a Christian and that is largely because she has been treated poorly and made to feel like crap by pastors in the past. She had great things to say about you. She said you were super nice and friendly!
Thank you for letting Christ shine through you, for loving others, and for being a great example that not all Christians are religious and legalistic. I hope that sometime we can come check out your church.
I think God has many opportunities for us and many of them look like normal every day life! Goes to show you never know how closely those you do life with are watching.
Make the most of your opportunities!
